I know it's been a while since my last giveaway. I hate when I get behind. Sunday I woke up with a vicious case of something I don't know quite what. I had a high fever, night sweats, sore throat, sore neck, aches, muscle weakness, shortness of breath, the works. It really knocked me backwards.
It always takes me a couple days to wind back into gear which for some reason sets me back much farther than I'd expect. But not to worry. I still have something else planned for this week in the works. Something simple but different. I hope you like it.
I still have a few of my above mentioned symptoms and still easily become lightheaded and short of breath when I do my normal activities but I have been itching to get back to the blog. And I meant to post this yesterday but due to scheduling conflicts and sickness I had to wait until today.
However, I did managed to leave the house yesterday to buy the material for this sweet little frock. It bears a boatneck collar and delicate frayed sleeves that fall slightly off the shoulder.
Molly felt so comfy in this burlap material and even fell asleep on the sofa in the new frock while watching Sesame Street.
I think this piece would look perfect while playing in the dirt, eating a stale piece of bread, riding in an open boxcar or jumping in a three legged race!
Oh and if you haven't figured it out by now....
Happy Belated APRIL FOOLS!!!!!!!
No, I'm not that ridiculous:)

Soooo, no chance to win this one? Just kidding!
I love it! What a great little April Fools "giveaway".
:) When you said it was comfortable... I thought- you've got to be kidding me!
This is so hilarious! I love the description (eat a piece of stale bread)! Your daughter looks so cute!
But she still looks adorable :)
Love it!!
ahahaha that is too funny, she is adorable.
Hee-hee! I was beginning to wonder if your sickness was a bit more serious than you made it sound...
Your daughter looks adorable in that burlap sack. With her as a model you could sell it!
Okay, your daughter could make a paper bag look cute and apparently you can make burlap look like a dress. Very funny!!!
Ha ha...I was surprised as I read this post beause it was very unlike the classy grosgrain style we've all come to know and love...you got me hook, line, and sinker!
Thanks for the laugh.
I was going to say. That kid is adorable but the sack isn't doing anything for her.
Ha, glad you are feeling well enough to play jokes! You did get me though. The whole time I was reading, I was thinking wouldn't this be itchy, but then you said your daughter feel asleep in it! Very cute.
I actually thought it was kinda cute. Lol! Maybe it's because your daughter is adorable. :)
You are hilarious!
You had me going for a second!
LOL! Although, if my girl could look that adorable in it ... then why not? Cute pics! Sign me up! LOL!
Way to play up the expression about wearing a burlap sack! Did she get a rash!?
That is funny!
Hahhahahaah! Your daughter is so beautiful with this burlap sack!!!! I love it!!!!
The model is quite adorable!
Cheers,
Dionne
I feel like a bozo! I scrunched up my nose and said OUCH! (Thinking how itchy that would be.)
Grrrr.totally fell for it....I kept waiting for you to say it was lined for comfort or that maybe it was really linen....you are the ONLY prank I fell for...well done!
Cute pictures!
You're so cute! I still prefer the Marie Antoinette dress but your models look gorgeous in anything!
LOL!!!!!!!!!
That was awesome!!!
Good one! Still, with a model as cute as that... maybe lol.
good one! for a second there i thought the fever was still talking! ;)
haha, this is great!
There are some people, like my sisters, who are just so lovely that I say of them,"Oh, she would look beautiful in burlap." Well, Molly really DOES look beautiful in burlap, AND you're hysterical.
:) Kaetlyn
HA! That was awesome. I was thinking, "How on earth could burlap EVER be comfortable??"
You never know - somebody with toooo much money may buy the dress!
The perfect dress for all your "box car children".
(Would also double as a great pre-fairy godmother Cinderella frock)

That was so fun. The pictures are so good and she is so cute, they make me want to put a burlap sack dress on my daughter.
The whole time I was reading this, I kept thinkiing SURELY not... this seems a bit out there!! Cute joke. And I hope you get to feeling better!!
HA!!! You crack me up!!! Seriously... I am laughing OUT LOUD. Good joke. :)
Shannon
very funny! You are such a hoot!
And yet, she still looks adorable! Love the dirt smuged face. =)
Ha ha
ooh my this was so funny, I was totally thinking, is she serious?
So cute and too funny. It totally reminds me of an episode of "I Love Lucy" where they are all in Paris and Ricky and Fred try to trick Lucy and Ethel with "High Fashion" of burlap sacks and feed bags as hats! Brilliant!
okay, so I glanced at this giveaway the day it posted and just went back and read the full post...You got me good~ All week I was thinking, wow, Kathleen must be getting all artsy (like in the no one really understands but accepts it anyway cause of the artist kind of way) with her visions and designs. Now I feel like a fool~
I do love the photographs - she looks like the cutest orphan ever!
sadly, it's still cute!!!
This is hillarious! Since i didn't actually check your blog on April 1st, the whole April Fools thing went over my head until the end, and I kept thinking, "This is the first thing she has made that I have not loved! What was she thinking!? Too funny! However, your daughter still manages to look cute in this one.
ROFLOL! Love it! The best part is that your little one is pretty enough to pull it off ;o)
Hope you are feeling better!
I love it also. Great Aprils' Fools Day joke!! But what a cute dress! Can I still win it?
What's more adorable, the little model or her dress? I wonder.
THAT was hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!`
I just wanted to say ... she is absolutely adorable. What a kid! :)
Hilarious. I had this ugly look on my face and kept thinking, "who would want that?" I really thought it was serious. Of course since it's two years later I didn't understand the "April Fools" until I read it 4-5 times. I was just like, "I don't get it..." Very funny!
