I hope to have the owl and pussycat masks by this weekend. I normally don't post on the weekends but I'm finally feeling a little better after an awful bout of ear piercing sore throat and hope to find some time tonight to take photos of the babies.
Tomorrow I will be going to Nicole Gerulat's Mini Art Weekend Photography class. I'm just so happy that I will be well enough to go, knock on wood. It seems to have come up on me so fast! I have to plan what to wear!
I've admired Nicole's blog for so long it will be exciting to finally meet her. It's so strange to meet people from the blogosphere in the real world.
Since I've been sick, obviously I've missed my Oct. 1st deadline for posting my first costume. I couldn't have found the energy even if I had the costume finished. Hopefully by next week I will be ready.
In the meantime, please take a look at some of my flickr favs from this week.
The naugtys (at top, courtesy of flickr user Raegun) are part of a wedding and these are the little flower dresses she made for them. She was super happy with how they turned out and hopes to make many more dresses in this style. Plus she really thinks her nieces need to dress up every day.
The next photo is courtesy of flickr user kraftykym. I love her little embellishments.
The photo to the left is courtesy of flickr user sewretrochic. It was Zura's first attempt at designing. After seeing a fabulous retro top displayed on the mannequin she tried to recreate it in cotton.
She used 2 pieces of rectangles. The softly shirred neckline gave it a mock turtleneck effect. To see more visit her blog.
