I haven't worn a one piece in quite a while. The last time was when I was thirteen and it was a red speedo. I think I'm partial to the color. So when Shabby Apple asked me to choose one of their swimsuits from their yummy new Queensland swimsuit collection I choose the candy apple red one which also happened to be a one piece.
Since having Eloise I wanted something to give me a bit more coverage for modesty's sake. The Sutherland Point suit gave me pretty much all that I asked....mostly, breast coverage and support....that's what I need the most of. But I also loved the lipstick red color, ruffles and retro fit. Brian loves the one piece too. Not to mention, wearing a one piece made the FREEZING lake water tolerable.
Plus, I think posting pictures of myself gives you a good idea of how the suit looks in person. So often you purchase something online but when see it in real life it doesn't have that spark that you loved in the catalog. This swim suit lived up to its photography.
Just one FYI, I altered the color in the photos to look more retro. The actual swimsuit is a very candy apple red. So classy.
Isn't Eloise sweet? I was sure to really slather her with spf 50. I've never had to deal with such fair skin. Lily and Molly had fun too. I brought the 'River Run' innertube which is really huge! Eventually the sun came out and we enjoyed lounging on the lake waters with Eloise while Lily and Molly darted along the shoreline. By the time we left there was only one other group on the beach so we pretty much had the shore to ourselves. Overall, a nice afternoon.
If you love this swimsuit there's still time to enter the Shabby Apple Queensland Swimsuit Giveaway.

I love the swimsuit! It looks amazing on you!! I don't really like one pice but this one really deserves a try!!
this looks fabulous! The perfect color - and I love this style on you - great review : )
You look great. I bought a retro styled swim suit this season and I love it too.
That swimsuit looks great on you.
I do think, though, that with your amazing body, you shouldn't feel bad about rocking a two piece at all. You have a baby AND still have a killer body? WORK IT! Make the rest of insanely jealous :D
You look lovely! I especially like the picture of you and Eloise. :)
Aw, you look great! I'm glad you were finally able to spend some quality time with your family. :)
You look fabulous in this bathing suit! Eloise is beautiful, along with your other little girls. I love that picture of you and Eloise. Is that a bathing suit she is wearing?
This was one of my favorites of theirs and to be honest, you look better in it than their model does! Your daughters are all adorable!
You look great! I was drawn to that swimsuit at the Shabby Apple site, but since the model they used is super flat-chested, I was sure there wouldn't be enough coverage for me. Thanks for proving me wrong! I love retro-styled swimsuits, but I'm stuck with the cheap walmart variety for now.
You look fabulous! The suit is perfect on you. Finally, what a gorgeous family!
I LOVE how the suit looks on you and appreciate your "real person" pictures. I loved the suit on the website but wasn't sure how it would look on me, since I'm fuller on top (like you). It looks great!
Love the swimsuit and you look fab!
insane that you just had a baby! you look amazing!
That is so gorgeous... and loved the sweet picture with your baby girl.
I love that swim suit! It is adorable. :)
Gorgeous swimsuit. Checked out their website - beautiful clothes that actually will fit me!!!
I cannot believe you 'just had a baby' and can wear a swimsuit that looks so fab...amazing (you and the suit)!
Okay, other than me sort of wanting to punch you for looking SO FREAKING FANTASTIC just a few months after having your baby...I LOVE the suit.
LOVE the suit. it looks FANTASTIC on you! and your pictures are just great. where does all the pretty things hide when its time to buy and i have money to get what i want?
Okay you will think I am just bs-ing but I am new to this blog and I thought that was some movie actress modeling, or maybe some old photos of a movie actress. Seriously. You look amazing.
And I love your color alteration - the original is not nearly as soft looking.
So I love the way this suit looks, but I'm just wondering how tall are you? I'm 5'9" with most of that height in my torso. Is there enough room for me in the length of that suit in that suit? I absolutely love it!
Thanks!
You look great in that swimsuit! i love that photo of you with your baby:-) She's beautiful, too.
You look wonderful! I'd say that one must choose the type of bathing suit that one wants to wear wisely. There are varieties of styles, shapes, colors, prints and stripes designed to meet discerning tastes. Additionally, designer swimwear are also created to make any women feel comfortable with their body while at the beach or just wanting to have a good tan.
