I know my readers are crafty folk and that they will appreciate this giveaway as much as I did when I was asked to review it. I think I was on cloud nine for days.

I definitely recommend visiting the site and especially the blog which has a ton of great ideas and mediums including magnet paper, tattoo paper and metallic sketch pens!
First off I want to differentiate this from the Cricut which IMHO has nothing on the Silhouette. The major difference being you DON'T have to buy EXPENSIVE cartridges which (to me) makes the Cricut cost prohibitive. You have the freedom to create whatever you want. Whatever font you have installed on your computer, you can cut out with the Silhouette machine and your computer.
You can cut images that are 39" long! That's long enough for a life sized birch tree vinyl cutout. Speaking of cutouts you can make your own images! Want to make a silhouette of your family's profiles to frame over the mantlepiece? YOU CAN with the Silhouette (I'm SOOO gonna try that).
And here's another great part. If you want to purchase something from the Silhouette library (which has some GREAT boxes BTW) you can purchase them individually online for only 75 cents a piece. Compare that to Cricut which charges you $60 per cartridge with about 50 images you may or may not want and one font AND you'd have to drive out to the store to buy it.Silhouette also has monthly design plans. For $19.99 a month you can download up to 200 designs of your OWN choosing. That's crazy.
Here were a few things I made with my machine. OOOooo you know what would be neat? Paper dolls!
See how I did it here, here, here and here. I'll have a full tutorial later in the week with another silhouette project that you can do. Making the candy boxes were beyond easy. All I had to do was print, punch out and fold. i love reading and just looking at your blog,your abilites are wonderful... but the reason i am posting is that i could make someone i love so happy with this little machine and help them breathe again.
I make cards and other paper crafts, but don't scrapbook, so the Cricut always seemed like it would be out of my price range and over-kill. The Silhouette does some amazing things without the expense and extra "hardware". I've also been interested in vinyl cutting for decorating and I love that the Silhouette can do that too!
I love the silhoutte because it would make my girlfriends life much easier!!

As the mom of a little boy, I was soooo tired of shopping and only finding cute things for little girls. Soon after, I started making things for little boys like onesies, blankets, etc. and I sell them locally in little shops in my town and the surrounding cities. It's been such a hit! I have been looking at the Silhouette machine for several weeks now and would be SO THRILLED to have one of my very own. I would be able to continue to give much needed attention to all of the little guys in our lives and create more super cute things for them! Pick me! Pick me! Holy smokes! I was just thinking the other day that it'd be nice to be able to take my drawings I make on Illustrator and print them on something besides paper in order to do things just like this. I like Silhouette because there are so many different ways to use the machines! You don't need to buy 100 different gadgets, one Silhouette cutter can accomplish a lot.

I love how versatile the Silhouette machine is! I would love to try it for vinyl!
I went to the Silhouette site and saw that gray bag with the yellow and white flowers screen printed on it, and let me tell you: I want it. I have had my eye on pretty screen printed purses for the longest time, but my creative gene makes me want to make them - not just wait until I can buy them! :) I hope that, if I'm lucky enough, that I can get this! :)
I love the vinyl feature - and it's not even expensive!
I could also utilize this in my piano studio - instead of my printer and xacto knife...

We deal in handmade as a rule around my home. The silhouette would really open up a new world of t-shirt bedazzling, school accessory creating, window pane etching, amazing gift making, cupcake wrapping and really I can't even scratch the surface of what I would want to create for my family. i would LOOOOVE this machine! I have so many ideas floating around for one of these. Christmas gift tags, halloween treat bags for daycare, vinyl words for flour + sugar jars, heat transfers for my little girls tees, vinyl decal for my car window. ah, love.

wow, this is pretty neat! I never really looked into the whole thing, just because I thought they were absolutely not affordable - but this one seems not too bad. If only I wasn't so broke right now :D I'm into stencils very much and just think how much time this would save, cutting out letters all neatly and cute... LOVE IT!

I would first use the Silhouette to make signs for the cars of the parents of our Boy Scouts when we do community service functions. That way the community would know who is working to help. The scouts have gotten so much bad press lately because of some bad adults. The scouts do so much good for the boys. Thanks for the opportunity to win such a great prize.
