I know my readers are crafty folk and that they will appreciate this giveaway as much as I did when I was asked to review it. I think I was on cloud nine for days.

I definitely recommend visiting the site and especially the blog which has a ton of great ideas and mediums including magnet paper, tattoo paper and metallic sketch pens!
First off I want to differentiate this from the Cricut which IMHO has nothing on the Silhouette. The major difference being you DON'T have to buy EXPENSIVE cartridges which (to me) makes the Cricut cost prohibitive. You have the freedom to create whatever you want. Whatever font you have installed on your computer, you can cut out with the Silhouette machine and your computer.
You can cut images that are 39" long! That's long enough for a life sized birch tree vinyl cutout. Speaking of cutouts you can make your own images! Want to make a silhouette of your family's profiles to frame over the mantlepiece? YOU CAN with the Silhouette (I'm SOOO gonna try that).
And here's another great part. If you want to purchase something from the Silhouette library (which has some GREAT boxes BTW) you can purchase them individually online for only 75 cents a piece. Compare that to Cricut which charges you $60 per cartridge with about 50 images you may or may not want and one font AND you'd have to drive out to the store to buy it.Silhouette also has monthly design plans. For $19.99 a month you can download up to 200 designs of your OWN choosing. That's crazy.

All I had to do was print, punch out and fold. Ok, so I'm looking and looking on the site...it cuts everything...everything! Everything but fabric? I don't get it, how can it cut paper and magnets but not fabric? I wonder if you ironed it to freezer paper if it could cut fabric. Silhouette is fabulous! With machines like this I could probably triple the types of projects that I currently can do. I already have a list ideas for projects I could use this machine for! Their website has all kinds of projects imaginable. I love it!
I want one of these so bad... I didn't know you could make temporary tattoos with it. That is so cool! But first, I think I would make new decorations for our new apartment. Kinda bored with the old decorations...

This machine looks pretty amazing. I would LOVE to make a bunch of custom t-shirts for my kids and as birthday gifts for their friends. And my kids would be constantly covered in temporary tattoos (a look we cultivate in our house anyway!).

I love the idea of using it for vinyl creations for my walls, my glass containers, for organizing, for everything really! I will definitely make iron on designs too! How cool is that!? I love how I wouldn't have to sell a child to buy a cartridge or two.

I like Silhouette because it allows you to use your own designs, and even has a program to help you make them. What a great shortcut for making screenprinting stencils.

I'm really excited about the vinyl cutting application... we don't own our own home right now, so the vinyl would be perfect to use for decorating since we can't hang things or paint.
I am following your blog and posted a comment of the secret blogs. I have a cricut and was so disappointed in the limitations. I love paper crafting and heat transfer and making stencils for screen printing and appliqué, but I hate having to buy cartridges. I am way more creative than a cartridge!
I love everything the Silhouette does. I would probably open the box, hook everything up, and then spend the next 72 hours trying every feature (without sleeping or eating in between). ;) It's an incredible tool!!

This is amazing! I love that you could buy inexpensive clothing, shoes, etc. for kids (since they grow out of them so quickly) but make them distinct and one-of-a-kind by using the Silhouette! VERY cool....
