OR, if it doesn't have ruffles and is too long, cut off the bottom and make ruffles out of the extra fabric and attach to bottom. But I think the ruffled bottom look only works for loose clothes. If you add it to a tight dress it might look a little dated. BUT I wouldn't put my money on that. You never know what look could turn out to be amazing!
I bought this at the Sal Val yesterday for $2 and I thought this dress looked like something an urban hippie might wear. I paired it with my Forever 21 hobo sack, F21 belt and Payless moccasins.
Since it was a baggier dress I thought it would look best with a short length. The belt kind of made it shorter when I put it on so I wished I would have let it one or two inches longer. If you're ever making a dress with a belt just keep that in mind.
I thought it kind of looked this this Burdastyle pattern that I've been eyeing for a couple months.

very cool kathleen. I love when you mix it up into something unexpected!
Whoa, that's really short! For me. It looks great on you. I love the fabric and the style. Great tip about shortening above the ruffles.

You look very cute in this dress!
You could always put a pair of leggings with it. What a find.
