Man, it certainly was a 'split' decision. I had to extend the voting by 10 minutes because it was quite frankly a dead heat. But the winner won by literally ONE vote at the last minute. The next frock by friday for the month of October is....
The Gail Frock! I'll be showing how to make the alterations so that it more closely resembles the Modcloth frock. So print the patter and buy your material for next week. I'll be giving periodic updates on the frock to my followers. So please follow the blog for those.
And since the second frock was soooo popular I do plan on using it as November's FBF.
Stay tuned for a Thrift Store Thursday post later today! It's a good one:) (I think)

Yay, glad I voted.
Grosgrain: where every vote really counts because there's no electoral college.
Awesome! I'll definitely be following this one :)
What fabrics/notions would you suggest?
I'm so thrilled to participate in this again! Yeah! One question though, what kind of fabric would you recommend for a beginning sewer? I'm confident I can execute the dress, but on the other hand I don't want to spend tons of money on silk just in case I do an awful, awful job.
Can we do the Madison next month? Pretty please?
Another request for fabric help! What kind fabrics should we consider (especially as beginners?) and should we buying extra lace if we're doing ModCloth mods?
I also loved the one that didn't win... can we do it for next month and maybe add sleeves?
thanks and congratulations on your book deal... I hope some of your unique designs will be included!
Rochelle,
That's what I plan to do:)
Thank you for doing Madison next month! That's a great consolation prize :)
...so do you buy a piece of big lace for the top?..and where do you get that?
My name is Gail so I guess I should sew along!
Thanks girlfriend...can't wait!
I'm headed to the fabric store tomorrow and would love some guidance on what kind of fabric to get and what other notions I might need. Thank you!!
kellylearnstosew,
I wrote a post to my followers about this issue. See here:

I just don't want too many FBF cluttering my front page.
Thank you!!!
This will be my first time following!! Can't wait~
:)
Best of both worlds! So excited to be doing both dresses... even if I have to wait till November for my own top choice ;) Looking forward to sewing!
This will be the first time i follow along! I can't wait :)
