Today Brian and I are going with his sister and her boyfriend to an evening Phillies game. Funny thing is, last year we attended the game where they clinched their division. And now, it looks like that might happen again.
But anyway....because we're going to said game I had to bail out of a bachelorette party with my sister for a friend of hers. I felt pretty bad so when she called me yesterday and asked if I could silk screen a 'bride' sash and sew in tulle by later that night I told it would be no problem. I also figured I could at least get a post out of it:)
For two and a half hours of work I think it came out great. I'm glad I could help. Oooo, and this is the photo I sent to my sister when I completed it. I took it with my iphone. The hipstamatic app is divine!

You could probably sell these in an etsy shop for bachlorette parties! I am about to throw one for my sister. I'll have to try to do something similar (though with a fabric pen, as I don't have a silk-screen).
the sash looks great! so fun about the game. i grew up about 30 min outside of philadelphia and love the phillies! i'm in cleveland now, but since the indians are in the al and the phillies are in the nl i can root for both guilt free! well, unless they both happen to get to the world series, but i don't see that happening any time soon for the indians. have fun!!!!
Lovely pic!! :D
I'm just stopping by to invite you to come check out the blog party/giveaway that is going on right now on my blog! There are eight giveaways, so there are a ton of chances to win some cool stuff; it ends next Wednesday. Hope to see you there! :D
Happy Saturday,

Hello! I've just recently discovered your blog and find it very very informative and enjoyable. I was intrigued by this post because you have silk-screened the bride piece, and obviously very quickly and professionally. I'm curious - what's your silk-screening set up at home? I love screening but I'm wondering if there's an easier way to do it, especially with single pieces like this. Good topic for a post, don't you think? Thanks for taking the time to keep your blog entertaining and useful! Patty
It's beautiful! Lovely work. I hope she liked it. :-)
I love my hipstmatic too! Great job, by the way.
What a great gift and idea! I am going to be the maid of honor in my sister's wedding next year and was thinking of making her something small for it, something new, something blue, who knows! I'm new to the world of sewing and blogging. Stop by http://purl2tog.wordpress.com/ to see my creations as well.
Patty S.,
I have a yudu machine. It's kind of like a big gocco. It still takes some time to do something simple but once you have the screen made you can easily make many copies of one thing.
