This November Grosgrain will be having EMBELLISH MONTH! Basically I'll be taking an old sweater EVERDAY and embellishing it in a fantastic way! If I can I will also try to include tutorials for most cardigans!
And no, they won't be all ruffles. (Although I do love my ruffles:)
DON'T spend $98 on an Anthropologie cardigan when all you need is an hour of your time and a thrift store sweater.
Please share this button on your sidebar. I'd love to get as many people involved as possible:)
More updates soon.

i am so excited...love this idea, will you go ahead and start to let us know what to buy ahead of time...fantastic idea!!! can't wait.
It's funny that you are doing this. I was on Anthropologie's website yesterday and I saw these really cute kids sweaters with embellishment on them, but of course too expensive for me. That inspired me to make something like it for my daughter. So I specifically went to the thrift store today to look for some soft cardigans to embellish. Now I hope that it comes out cute. This should be fun though!
I LOVE this idea! Can't wait to get started. Also, I just started blogging about a week ago and I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to formatting my blog. How do I add the link to my sidebar?
Yaya! Am looking forward to seeing the creations and being inspired by the creativity that there is out in Internet-land ... again! :)
I can't wait! Your button is on my blog and I am waiting with bells on!
Very happy! Thank you! I've added your button to my site: www.meremade.blogspot.com
Thanks!
OH NO! I've noticed that the gorgeous white "ethereal" is missing from your giveaways. If it's gone and I don't know anything about it, I didn't win :(
I'm going to love following this journey. New skills in embellishing will be such fun to learn. Can't wait to see all your ideas. I love to wear cardigans, especially when they have some clever design details.
What a fantastic idea!! I can't wait!
Oh, this project is exactly what I need right now! I love going thrifting for second hand clothes, and I'm really looking forward getting some superb ideas from all of you people on how to make them even better! Can't wait!
Nice idea. Though i don't have much of knit in my wardrobe!
Brilliant - I can't wait!! Anthropologie is now in the UK, and I have a few pieces, but it's twice the price over here. Loved the navy cardigan you did a few months ago.
Brilliant Idea! I'm hoping to be able to tag along, might just have to cut down the long list of christmas crafting ideas I have and provide myself with a few 'new' things!
I can't wait to see what you come up with!
Bring it on! I am so excited for this. I would love if your next book would be about your thrift-store miracles and something along the line of what we might see in Nov. No doubt, it will only be FAB!!!
Yay! This will be fun!
I have been working on this too! I have been embellishing for the last week, so glad to jump on your wagon and play along!
Yay I'm excited!! My boyfriend makes fun of all my cardigan's....sais I look like a school teacher (but I'm a scientist..)
Sounds great! I'll be there!
Thanks, this is just what I've been looking for! Also, I was hoping you could maybe put a "Frock by Friday" category in your tutorials page. I'd so love to see them all grouped together for easy access!
Ooh I am so excited! This is gonna' be fun! P.S. Thanks for linking back to my blog! :)
I can't believe I found this today. The past two nights I have been working on transforming my hubby's old too bug even for him sweaters into slimmer more feminine items I can wear with pride. You know what they say about great minds thinking alike. Looking forward to your ideas.
