I also got the woolen skirt from the Community Aid store as well as yesterday's skirt. I've been into the wool skirt lately. Looks all fall and scholastic. All I had to do was trim a foot off the bottom, same as yesterday's. Sooo loving this month:)
Oh and YES everyone. It was in the purse:) What happened was I never use that purse and dug it out of the closet for the photos. So after I was done I immediately put the purse back in the closet trying to get the house clean and totally forgot about its existence. Since my purse was in the closet I couldn't even hear it ringing when I tried to call. So frustrating. Someone mentioned praying to St. Anthony in my last post and you know what, I had. And I found it after. And that's not the first time that's happened.

I LOVE this one even more because its simple!
I wish my salvation army was so cheap...even the worst sweaters are still 5$ here in Canada...
Beautiful, I'm really liking the theme this month, great idea! I need to spend at least part of my weekend looking through thrift stores to try these. So much cheaper than Anthropologie!
I like the shirt you're wearing under the cardigan too. Would you have any idea how to do that technique?
Those tights look amazingly warm. Where are those from? And your shoes are wonderful too!
cute!
amaydak,
It's so easy. It's just pleating and then sewing a stitch down the middle that pushes the pleats in the opposite direction. But I should do a technique tuesday. Thanks!
Melissa Ann,
I got them from sockdreams.com And I'm buying even more. They have an AWESOME collection and free shipping!
OMG you are amazing...I seriously run to the computer each morning to see what sweater you have transformed....so much hat as soon as my kids are up we are hitting goodwill :) I just started sewing a few months ago and I am horrible but never thought to practice on old sweaters :)
Love the color selections to go together, really make it POP
i'm so glad someone else said they've been stalking this site since the sweater make-overs started, 'cause i have too! i re-did my first last night and am t-o-t-a-l-l-y trying out these dahlias for the other. this is so much fun - thanks again!
Kathleen, Can you enlighten us on how exactly you resize your sweaters down? I'm not sure how to resize the underarm area... where the sleeve meets the bodice hem. Would really appreciate your help!
Love it! When I saw the first post, I immediately went to my local thrift store and snatched up a couple of cardigans to embellish...still haven't done them, but I'm still getting inspired!!Awesome idea!!
