I've seen this on pinterest...it looks like a chunky dangle sequins or something. I've been sourcing sequin fabrics with no luck. Please share if you find something!
They look like big plastic gem stones with silver on the back, plastic I hope as glass would be so heavy. Try making a scarf first from those plastic gems that people use for jewellery making. I am sure you could get a big bag for cheap. Good luck, I loved to see what you come up with. axx
i have no experience with this at ALL...but i think you sew a strip of sequins or sequin trim on in a sort of long zig-zag pattern till the whole thing is covered
I see a lot of this when i shop in the fabric district in LA, but it's always UBER expensive. Save ALL your pennies. Go to the fabric district, and pick up some! I once made myself a little bolero out of it (because it was all i could afford) but it looked fantastic! It's really hard to sew at times! But that dress is beautiful, and now I really want one!

? I wonder if it's some shiny fabric sewn (in strips, maybe) on a base fabric. If you find out, I'd love to know, as well.
Oh my I love this!! Would love to know too!
ohhh...let me know when you find out! Gorgeous
It looks like foil confetti! I love it.

Encrusted with folded gold and dark-purple sequins, Adam's black silk-organza.
It looks like the sequins are quite tight and each one is folded.
Apparently it's "folded sequins", whatever that means!
