The new compact florescent bulbs have little or no heat, so would be perfect for these shades. I am going to make one for my granddaughter's bedroom.

It's very nice, but I think you meant VOILA not Viola. These two workds in French have a very different meaning.
Um. SO COOL! I'm totally doing this next Winter.
Although, now that I think about it, this would be great year-round in a nursery, screened-in-porch, or dining room. The wheels in my brain are turning... :)
