One thing I never mentioned about the Royal Wedding were the hats! I overheard many commentators saying that they enjoyed looking at the hats more than the actual wedding dress! Here's a collection of just a few of the amazing hats featured on some of the most famous faces of Europe.

Some of the hats are ridiculous, but some are beautiful, I wish hats would come back in style here in America!
I think I shall need to hide after saying this but is that royal blue one meant to make some sort of statement? After all, it's shaped like a part of female anatomy with a flower in the center... *ducking and hiding because she's obviously spent too much time with her more gutter-minded friends*

Hehe, right. It is something like a Georgia O'Keefe painting;)
Thanks for this post! The sea of fabulous hats was definitely one of the high points of the wedding for me!
WOW. Wonderful. I wish we could wear hats like that here and not get laughed at.
i'll go against the grain and say that this collage makes me glad that americans don't wear hats. a few are nice, but most of these hats look ridiculous *cough* beatrice *cough*.
To be fair, we do have the Kentucky Derby, which comes around more often than a royal wedding; so I say we win :)
I'm british and I dont get the Victoria Beckham/Beatrice/Tara Palmer Tomkinson hat on forehead thing. Just daft. Nah we still win on the hats, we have the Grand National and Cheltenham horse races, and well any big wedding really. Any excuse for a hat :)
I'd like to know two things:
1) How do they keep them on? Especially the middle of the forehead hats. And
2) Does everyone wear them tilted to the right?
Love that one with the big coral flower on the girl in the sheer black polka dot top! I'd like to see that outfit from the front.
It was so much fun to see these the day of the wedding, and especially in the next few days as all the outfits were scrutinized and photos posted online. My favorite outfit and hat combo by far of all the guests isn't pictured here: Crown Princess Letizia of Spain's pale blush-colored dress and matching (cloche-styled?) hat was just perfect in every way, in my opinion.
LOVE them all! I need to get my hands on some... :0)
I just learned the correct word is fascinator, and that pink bow number is something I don't think I will ever find fashionable sorry princess good thing she has other things going for her!
Good to be visiting your weblog once more, it continues to be months for me. Well this article about wedding hats and gloves that I’ve been waited for so long. I require this write-up to complete my assignment within the college, and it has exact same subject with your post. Thanks, great share.
