Lynda Maynard used this gown as an example in one of her books. It's from Christian Dior's Spring/Summer 2009 Haute Couture show with John Galliano designing. There are some other stunning gowns in that collection - I recommend looking them up.

You could simplify it a little, shorten it up, use a less dressy fabric, and call it your summer dress for any parties or special days this summer! MAKE A REASON TO WEAR IT! :)
I actually think something like this would be beautiful for a wedding dress. Non-traditional, but gorgeous.
