With all these Advent boxes I've been thinking about coin purses. I know there are a ton of tutorials out there about how to make your own and I wanted to try one of them out for Lily and Molly. Perhaps personalize it with their initials or something?
Purl Soho has a fabulous kit but unfortunately a little on the pricey side:( I'd be paying over $100 for two with shipping! Now, that would be insane, right?
But I did find a similar type frame on etsy that I might purchase. Here, here, here, here and here for much cheaper.
I loved coin purses when I was little. I guess I still do. There's something so quaint about them even if they are a bit impractical for me at this point in my life.
Making a few of these in multiple patterns to give as a gift would make a good Christmas surprise!

those little birdy coin purses are adorable!
I"m a coin purse lover too. You're so right that they are impractical but that snap that they do when you move the balls across each other to open and close is kind of magical.
I made some of them years ago and I still make them because they are so useful!!!
I use mine for money but either for carrying my MP3 player, usb keys, and sewing kit for the purse:-)

I just made a couple for Christmas gifts! I found the exact frames from Purl on another website for $21 each. Still pricey, but at least cheaper than the kits they are selling. Here's the link: http://store.atelierdehappa.com/bk1075.html
Me viene muy bien, pues el otro día compré unas cuantas bocas para hacer monederos.
Gracias por compartir
