Did I ever mention how Amber has the BEST pinboards?! Well, she does. And is also a super nice person to boot! I found this on her pinboard yesterday. This is great if you have a standard pants pattern but want to customize it for variations or you just plain lost some weight (or gained) or grew five inches for no reason (ahhh, I can dream).

oh my gosh, you are so sweet! Happy you like my style!
I also have a blog at WillowWould.blogspot.com if you're interested.
Nice pin! That image was from Sunni's blog post at afashionablestitch.com. It's taken (with added highlight and with permission from Pati Palmer) from a page in the fitting book 'Pants for Real People'
This is very helpful! I was beginning to think I needed to design my own clothing line for "older" women. Your body changes and shifts and then there's gravity after 50-70 years or more. I truly believe there's a market for "retirees" clothing. I used to wear expensive suits and heels etc...not any more! I couldn't wear heels if my life depended on it now and I don't want to....I'm all about comfort now but unfortunately you lose a lot of "style" it seems but it shouldn't have to be that way. Thanks for this great info....it will come in handy as I "style" and retro-fit a retirement wardrobe for myself! LOL!
I love this diagram. I'm going to print it and put it in my sewing room.
@Sam I Am......
I couldn't get the pic.
