I
have something I've been working on for some time. I'm so excited to
reveal it. Next week I'll be posting one tutorial a day for each Disney
inspired ribbon sculpture. The tutorials are all finished so I don't
have to worry about getting sidetracked and not posting. And as you can
see all the princesses are finished as well. The girls are so excited
about wearing them. Especially the new "Brave" inspired princess;) These
were so fun to figure out and make. You can get so creative with the
techniques once you figure out the basics.
Those are awesome! I checked out the tutorial and I'm thinking this my be a great project to do WITH my daughters (well, except the wood burning tool part but I don't have a wood burning tool anyway so we'll have to improvise on that.).
@AnonymousJoAnns and an outlet fabric store in my area. If you're looking for flesh colored ribbon I had a hard time finding it as well so what I did was buy off white ribbon and pink RIT dye. I dipped the ribbon in the dye for a few seconds than washed off. Worked perfectly.
I love these! I used your tutorial as a guide to make an Esmeralda from The Hunchback of Notre Dame, a Megara from Hercules, and a Dorothy with Toto in a basket and Wicked Witch of the West from Wizard of Oz. SO much fun! Thanks!
Hello! I love these! I just bought a set of ribbons I'm going to start making today! Just wondering, when you have time could you make Princess Elsa from Frozen? Thanks again for sharing!
Thank you so much for posting these! I really want to give it a try, and your tutorial makes it look really easy. Wish me luck! I would also LOVE a tutorial on Anna and Elsa, from Frozen, as well as other Disney characters, such as Mickey & Minnie, Donald, etc.. Thanks!
