Have any of you tried to use fabric spray? Would be easier than reupholstering, especially with tufted chairs. See more at A Pinterest Addict. You can buy Tulip Fabric Spray at Michaels in black, white, yellow, blue and purple.

I'm still on the fence about it. It doesn't come in a whole lot of colors and it seems like the fabric would have to be in good condition so it might not be that useful. Most of the chairs I find as revamp candidates have a few (if not many) threadbare areas.
I think I'd need to feel it in person too, I'm too picky about texture!

I've never used the spray paint version, but have used the additive that you add to regular paint...I used it on a chair that was in good condition and was an olive green, 70s type fabric. It took a few coats, but it has held up really good. It almost had a vinyl type feel, which I like when I have a little one ...and the chair is white, it's a good combo.
That looks really interesting but what kind of texture would it feel like? I'm thinking it would feel plastic-y
I would also love to know how well this works. I just received a rocker for my nursery yesterday but it is a ivory/light tan rather than a pure white. It looks dingy next to the other white things in the room. I was thinking I could paint it, but am very nervous.
I've also seen people use Simply Spray: http://www.simplyspray.com/product/simply-spray-upholstery-fabric-paint/
I used it on a stroller I bought at a garage sale it was black, but kind of faded. I tried this stuff. It worked well on some of the stroller like the canopy, but it faded once again and for the first few times I used the stroller, I found black on my baby's legs. Even though I painted it the summer before I had him. I dont know Id use it on something I sit on. It really depends on th fabric with that stuff.
