I guess I've overestimated by time. I'll try to post a new hair video today but I have a lot to plan for. But later today I will have a special new giveaway courtesy of Shabby Apple. Tomorrow the girls, Brian, the new baby and I are going to Strites Orchard to take family photos with AllenAim Photography. I have one dress and two skirts to make before then. Our colors are jewel toney since it's early spring, lots of pinks, golds, oranges, silvers and whites. We've NEVER taken family photos before. And now that our family is complete I'm even more excited to take them. I've been using Pinterest for prop inspiration. Here are a few ideas.....
Bring blankets and pillows.
Or simple fabric streamers.
I loved the VW van idea but couldn't find anyone that rented them out in the area:(
Hula Hoops.
Since Henri is still so little he looks best when lying down. When he's in my arms his head flops and he gets an uncomfortable look on his face. I liked the idea of Henri in basket with a sheepskin blanket. And since it's an orchard it would be perfect if I could get an apple basket like this one. It would be cute if the girls could be holding the basket on either side.
Does anyone have any more ideas for family photo shoot props?

We did some with old empty picture frames. Each person holds one or a few people hold one around their face. Have also used some small wooden chairs for the kids that were painted bright colors. Love the balloons, they really add alot of interest :) Can't wait to see the results!
I took a picture of my daughter when she was just a few days old in the back of a toy Tonka dump trunk. Of course I did it before I had a clue about styling photography or even really taking pictures well (I've learned a lot in the last two years!) But it is cute and shows just how tiny she was, and I'll do it better for the next child.
so excited!! Let me check around for a basket like that...there might be one hiding in my garage...
Oh, oh, oh!!! I LOVE your bloggy! Oh my gosh, I love all your posts and tutorials and COLORS!
Beautiful!

Brief/suitcases (one of my fav of my son's is where he is in a briefcase when he was about 6 months old with a post it to "Call Home". Also cool to have an outside picture with members sitting on different color coordinated suitcases.
Lot of balloon, bubble maker/bubble wands (very inexpensive, but can really capture a fun and playful expression with children and adults).
Hope your family photo day was lovely! Happy Easter!
