I used to have an endless supply of these milk crates when I was in college.
This would look great if you padded on all sides too!

Even better idea, make a removable pad for the top of the crate so you can continue to use them for storage!
Oh my gosh...I have been contemplating making my old milk crates into storage ottomans.....now I think I will actually do it!
