With summer fast approaching I've been thinking about tans lately. I've never, not once, ever had an artificial tan. Not on a tanning bed, not with a spray. But I think I'm going to pop my tanning cherry this year and try a professional spray. Something glowly but not brown. Anyone whose done it before have any good advice?
As a side note, take a look at this spray tan tattoo. Pretty neat. Would also work by painting your lighter areas black before tanning.

I've been thinking about how safe a tanning spray is? Do you think it is much better if you use a tanning bed instead? There are harmful chemicals which are included on those spray, right? It might harm your skin in the long run. This is just my advice though!
@NardaI doubt I'd ever tan in the long run. I might just try it and see what I think. It's too expensive for me to do it on a regular basis.
But (about the chemicals) who knows, I certainly wouldn't put it out of the realm of possibility. I could see them five years from now saying a certain ingredient in spray tanning caused skin cancer. But the same could be said of bug spray, hairspray, body lotion or any kind of chemical applied topically. I guess that why so many people like 'organic' products.
For now, since I'm only just trying it once to see what I think, I'll feel okay about it.
