I made a pair of shorts like this when I was pregnant so that I could keep wearing them as I grew. When I had the baby, I ended up sewing a piece of elastic to the back and front so I could still wear them. My sister calls them my tulip shorts.

I've had a dressy pair of these for years! It's a great summer alternative when you want to dress up if made in the right fabric. :)
That's a really interesting idea!! Great for a hot day when you don't want to wear shorts OR a dress! I bet it's comfortable too.

I picked up a pair of these in Malaysia-- made of soft, fine linen. They're the best pants in the world.
