My always stylish friend Cheila and I got together last week and made some really cool collar necklaces out of lace and sequins. This one below tied in the front with a simple grosgrain ribbon.
Get the pattern PDF file below!
This one below hooked in the front with a necklace clasp. I would have loved to do one with fur or feathers but I didn't get a chance to buy those materials. Plus, faux fur is REALLY hard to find in store.
Cheila suggested wearing with a tank top for something hip and unexpected.
These are so easy. Between talking and eating her delicious pumpkin soup we made these in a matter of a few minutes. Great as DIY gifts. Check out my pinterest board with other collar ideas! The feather one is AMAZING!

aw thank you for the free pattern...just exactly what I was looking for!
Happy Thanksgiving and God bless!
Thanks for the pattern--I can't wait to make some for holiday gifts.
The pattern shows a seam allowance next to the fold line--I'm assuming the fold line goes on the fold of the fabric without a seam allowance...
@Mary W.Actually, keep the extra allowance but yes, do cut on the fold. Sorry, that IS confusing. I'll try to work on changing it. But cut the pattern like it is in the PDF.
Very cute! So many possibilities....
All those collars look gorgeous!! I love especially the sequin one:) Such an eyecatcher!! Inspiring pictures!
