Sewing Tips: Instant Seam Allowances!
March 19, 2013
This might be the best idea ever. A lot of those European patterns don't have seam allowances. Using a ruler is such a pain. Tape two pencils together and get exactly 1/2" seam allowance! Via Five Green Acres.

What a great idea! I just had to draft my own pattern, and it was such a pain... The next one will use a version of this method for sure!
thank u so much! you saved my all sewing projects! tahnk u thank u !
another great tip is to use your index finger as seam allowance builder...just place it next to the seam line and then run the scissor next to it. Measure your index width to know how much the seam allowance is.
Thanks for a great idea!
