About three months after my first daughter I went back to work. It was a sad time. I didn't want to go back to work but had to for financial reasons. On top of all that I couldn't keep up my breast milk supply so at four months she stopped breast feeding. Therefore she started drinking formula 100% of the time. I bought the generic kind because I got the most quantity for my money but Lily was starting to show signs of acid reflux- fussy at night, crying without cause. We took her to her pediatrician who recommended giving her a different formula- something non-lactose based and surprisingly her fussiness subsided. So I know how finding the *right* formula can make a significant difference.

Milk sharing is a great alternative to formula. Just putting it out there that formula while life saving and a perfectly fine way to parent isn't the only option for those who can't make enough milk on their own. Interested parties should check out Human Milk for Human Babies or Eats on Feets.
