Guess what I got for Chriiistmaaaaas???? Uh yeah, a Sizzix! I'm so giddy to try it out. You know what's even better? Brian asked the girl at Michael's if he could use the 40% off coupon and she said yes! I don't think she was supposed to. But what a discount, right?! It made me feel better about asking for it. Having a blog is really handy when you want to get your Christmas hints across;)So one of the first things I'm going to try is making a couple shoe clips. I need to buy a flower die first. But I can't wait to show you what I come up with.
Shoe clips are the most clever idea! And if you like to live by the simpler "upcycling lifestyle" shoe clips are great because instead of a bunch shoes cluttering your floor you have a couple simple colored flats and pumps with a lot of cute clips to add and switch for a million different cute looks.
Look for my shoe clips sometime next week. Hopefully by then I'll be back in my blogging groove. But I have to tell you it feels good to wake up and just relax all day, plan ways to rearrange my house, snuggle under my new electric plush blanket, cuddle Eloise.

I don't have a particular favourite of the shoe clips, but I wanted to let you know I'm looking forward to a tutorial about them. Shoe clips are the cutest.

My favorites are the ribbon and button clips, the brooch clips from ModCloth, and the peacock feather rosettes but the feathers are a little on the wild side! Also, I'm curious how you'd make a brooch clip if you only had one brooch?

I received shoe clips for Christmas from my BFF. I have 2 pairs - a flower pair and one that is a all beaded glitterati!!! I LOVE THEM! As for as your list, I like most of the them - there are a couple that seem a little "off" to me. If I had to pic my 2 fav, they are Russian Veiling and Boa (so the first one and the last one). I am a sucker for all things feathers! And the Russian one reminds me of a fascinator (as worn by Kate Middleton). I can't wait to see the result! xoxo

Fun! Back in the 80s my girlfriend and I hoarded shoe clips. I especially loved wearing them with my flats and high heeled platforms. We found a bunch of old vintage clip-on earrings and used those as shoe clips also.

Thanks for the list of inspirations! I love the Pink Stefi feathery flower one. Some of them I might be able to figure out but I have no idea how the pink stefi is put together so I'd love to see you do that one.
Oh, and just when I was thinking that i needed to get to the craft store to find shoe clip findings I noticed that the Martha Stewart one you linked to said to use paper clips!! Who knew? How wonderfully cheap! I can get started right away with stuff from my stash. My sewing machine is out of order so your shoe clip inspiration will get me through my withdrawals!

Never heard of the gadget...but I love the idea of shoe clips...I'd go for something with 1940s buttons, ribbons, etc.
They are gorgeous!I made myself too a pair of theese for my boots but i live in Greece and i cant find here those shoe clips that you attach on the flower!But you gave me a lot of ideas so thank you a lot!I hope you have a great new year!
