How many times have you gone from fabric store to fabric store looking for that perfect print for a project you had in mind and left empty handed or with something that you settled for? For me, too many times to count.
For my book I'm planning the fabrics that I will be using with the garments I will be making and OF COURSE, there are one or two fabrics that I CANNOT find. I'm considering using a service like Spoonflower but it can get kind of pricey for silk (which is what I want to use). But I just stumbled upon this book by Lena Corwin entitled Printing by Hand and am considering making my own silk printed fabric. After all, I have a yudu machine and I only need one or two yards.

I've been thinking about getting a yudu. Would love to know what you think of it as I have yet to find anyone that has it.
Please do!
I have a Yudu in the box.
I promise if you do a tutorial,
to dust my machine and try it too :D
Thanks for the book suggestion! It often is difficult to find the right print in the right color.
This book has been on my Amazon Wish List for almost a year. Time to dive in and try something new!
Silkscreening is VERY easy...MUCH easier than most pros let on. You don't need a YUDU or much more than a screen and a squeegee. I've been doing it on small projects for 50 years...check out my blog...(you'll have to do some thumbing thru posts but I have quite a few small screen projects.

Cool machine.
That sound like a lot of fun!
I bet that once you start you won't be able to stop!
Love that book! I've been fooling around with some hand carved stamps but haven't actually tried the fabric printing yet... Soon!
You are so lucky to have all these nifty tools! I will love to see what you come up with
