Now, I'm just catching up with emails. I get such a queasy feeling in my stomach when I haven't looked at email all day and am waiting for my inbox to open. Does anyone else have this problem?
So for the clips, I had some left over nylon chiffon from Day 30 of Embellish Your Knits Month and I thought they would make for a nice look on a gold shoe.
I wore them with a peach and cream ensemble with this new J.Crew necklace I received for Christmas. But when I paired it up with the clip I realized that the soft thin ribbon looked really great with the clip. And I know just where to get the same kind of ribbon. I might go down to the fabric store tomorrow and add a little brown ribbon embellishment to this clip.
1. Fold many layers of chiffon and cut on all four sides.
2. I then used my Sizzix machine to cut the chiffon into flower shapes. If you don't have a fabric cutter you can just cut the shapes yourself.
3. I then separated the pieces and restacked them.
4. Then sewed all layers together in the middle.
5. Then I hot glued a pearl button in the center.
6. And finally added a felt backing so that I had something to hot glue the clip to.

Those are super cute and now I have this urge to buy nylon chiffon in every color.
the flowers are so cute and feminine
How romantic and frothy! I own a pair of those socks, I love them!
ooo super cute!! When you sew the inside together, do you just sew a circle around the hole? Thanks for the tutorial!! :)
I've been thinking to make clips forva while,,you just gave me a little push!
you do such beautiful work right along with your photography. You have inspired so many of my designs. THank you for sharing!
Eeeek! I love these! So pretty and wearable.
Gina @ Temporary Nest,
Yes, but if you have a sizzix die that doesn't have a hole in the center I would recommend using that. It's really unnecessary.
Very cute, these would look great on really, really high heels!
These are really beautiful! You've given me shoe clip fever. I think a lot of my friends are going to get some as birthday gifts.
Thanks for sharing!
I want these socks !
These are so beautiful! I'll definitely be trying them soon.
Pretty lace and mix of colors make for beautiful chiffon!
Love these! and I just got the die you used last week (I think its the same one!). since there is a hole in the center of all the flowers, when you sewed them together, did you just sew around the hole? also, did you use all 3 flowers on this? Sorry for all the questions..I was thinking of returning the die because of the hole!
