Some of my favorite fashion/sewing ideas from around the web.......
Yeah, I love this headband. It's actually why I decided to post this. So lovely. But look at that dress! Where can I buy that sheer polka dotted fabric? L-o-v-e.
This looks so cool. I might just make these to put on my new sofa cover.
Oh AWESOME!!! It's Steam-Punk-alishious!!
Steam-Punk wear always amazes me. The details, the material, the look. I must admit, it's impressive. I'd love to make a genuine steampunk costume for Halloween one year but I fear the enormity of it all. It's a challenge. But it might just be worth it.

Someone please get me this! It's just adorable.

I've recently been wedding dress shopping with Brian's sister. Before that I was never into designing wedding gowns. The really big kind, that is. But now I'm starting to admire and note the details of some of these dream creations. Like these. Oh my.
And sorry for all these non-project posts. I'm working on a new Valentine's day dress to giveaway so I promise it will be worth it:)

I could totally see this in a small Tokyo apartment.

The hat makes me think Mad Hatter Goes Steampunk.
So many genius ideas!
What a fitting post!! I am desperately searching a wedding dress now... one that's simple and romantic but for a courthouse wedding, so probably short. Do you have any suggestions?

I received an email from Anthropologie announcing the launch of a stunning new bridal gown and accessory line called BHLDN. You can see a sneak peek on their website www.bhldn.com before the grand opening on Valentine's Day. It is romantic and feminine and well worth a look for further inspiration.
I can't wait to see the before picture of this dress. btw I made my best friend's wedding dress this summer from scratch-ish. You can see it here

It was so hard but turned out amazing. You're better at this than me so I know you'll do something spectacular.
Here's your sheer yellow dotted swiss fabric:

Will you post the finished item?
Laura,
That's so awesome! Thank you!
So inspiring! I do wonder where that scissor-shaped bead can be found - I've started making jewelry again by reading this post! I went to several shops selling beads, but I haven't seen anything like it. Thanks so much for sharing!
That's Elsie with the headband! I recognized her from her blog, another one that I follow. :)
A Beautiful Mess
She also has an online store.
Very neat that you ran across her photos. You're two of my favoritest, stylish blogs. :)
