looks like it is braided across and then instead of adding the hair like a french braid, it's passed through. I'd try it to be sure but I just had my hair cut into a short angled bob a few days ago!
It`s called "waterfall french braid", just search for it on Youtube and you`ll find countless tutorials.
If you're familiar with Elsie over at a beautiful mess, she did a tutorial a little ways back. It's super easy.
