We have them growing in our garden and love when they finally come in bloom.

Our hydrangeas are just about perfect for cutting. This weekend for sure. I do not have a single peony but was just telling hubs last week I would love some in the front yard. Now I will just have to add that to our list this weekend of things to do :) Beautiful shots!

Oh beautiful! It will be at least a week or two before we see blooms here in Minneapolis.
They look beautiful! Unfortunately mine bloomed right before a week of rain, so I took as many inside as I could and gave away even more. I'd love to find a perfume that is straight essence of peony!
I have some nice deep purple/red peonies just blooming now. I've never cut them and brought them indoors though. I can't seem to de-ant them enough and end up with ants in my house. How do you do it?

Oh we have so many ants in this house. The more the merrier. Just kidding.
That does bother me a little I think about it when I'm sleeping next to them at night but seriously we do have a lot of carpenter ants so I guess the littler ones don't phase me as much.
Love peonies, one day I'll have peony bushes for now I'll just have to keep loving my hydrangeas. The peonies are so big and beautiful. Adore the white ones with a hint of hot pink.

wow! they're gorgeous! i never had peonies in the house. i tried roses and lilies and found out i get bad allergic reactions to the pollen. so i never dared try anything else. :(
