More awesome palette love. Does anyone know where you can find these for free? When I was leaving Walmart yesterday I noticed that they have a ton of them sitting in their warehouse area. I wonder if they will sell them for a small fee? Maybe some places out there will give them to you?

Our local Pinch-A-Penny (pool store) always has them for free behind the store...
Lots of paint stores set them out back for free as well...
Craigslist! They are always posted in the free section.
These are free everywhere, people look to get rid of them. I love this table!
Funky Junk Interiors is the palette queen! http://funkyjunkinteriors.blogspot.com/
While a lot of places offer them for free, definitely ask first. My husband worked part-time at K-Mart for awhile, and they did NOT offer them for free. In fact, they had to report them as stolen if someone took them. I would hate for someone to get in trouble, so I thought I'd mention it! :)
I think most stores continue to use palettes until they've dry-rotted beyond recognition--when they're sitting out back, I think they're just waiting to be picked up during the next delivery. However, I'm willing to bet you could stalk the 'free' section of Craigslist and find them pretty easily!
My dad used to do do wood working stuff and he ran an old pallet through his plainer and got it all nice and smooth and stained it to make a beautiful headboard. It is amazing.
I used to work at a grocery store in Seattle area, and they had a stack at the back of the store that were free. You should inquire with management if they have any they are willing to give any damaged ones away. Technically speaking I don't think they are allowed to sell them.
Check craigslist..I have seen them for free in my area!
Very awesome table!!
I have gotten them for free two ways: 1. Calling around to local stores asking if they give them away. A local tool company and electrical company did in my area. Lowes did not. 2. I posted on freecycle that I wanted some.
Talk to your local farmer.
My husband (dairy farmer) gets all kinds of things on pallets...seed, feed, salt.
We have them everywhere, and i am going to make this table for my new patio!
Love love love this!!!
