My sister just moved into her first home. I was excited for her and wanted to make her a little something to surprise her! A little house warming gift. So I made a quick trip down to the nearest Dollar General and bought a couple cute items to put together as a gift basket.
I was surprised at some of the more stylish pieces I found. First off, this shelf organizer. Only $8! Looks like something out of a magazine. Good for storing magazines, books, miscellaneous items.
Second, these adorable mason jar straw glasses with polka dotted lids. Only $2! I wish I would have found about 50 of these for my wedding reception. I would have bought them all for only $2.
Third, it's always nice to have a scented candle burning. I like to keep one in the bathroom. Since it's such a tight space it really fills the room with fragrance.
Fourth, this lovely faux orchid that would look great on a shelf. Only $5.
Lastly, this warm, plush, gray throw blanket. Only $10. If you wanted to spend about $5 more they had a few really cute geometrically patterned throws that were super soft!
All together I only spent $30 on this beauty basket and it only took me about 10 minutes to find what I was looking for. For my time and money I think I made out pretty well. I'd love for someone to stop by and gift this to me if I bought a new house! I hope my sister will be pleased!
